Toonami Faithful's Interview with Jason DeMarco May 2018

It's been a long time coming but the team interviewed the head of Toonami once again now that the block has developed and new news can be talking about, including a jab at the Thundercats Roar complainers.   Some highlights:

- What will happen to DBZ Kai once it's done? "I can't answer that yet."  Hmmmmm.

- Confirmation that Turner is looking less at ratings to determine their business model.

- They have gone to Japan once every few months and have now "talked with every big anime studio you can think of".

- They are in the middle of developing one American show, and two anime shows.  I assume the "Scavengers" pilot is the American one, which he hopes will develop into a series if it's a hit.  Any of these productions can go on to air, shelved, or cancellation at any time.

- CN initially didn't want to rerun the Thundercats 2011 show, so airing it on Toonami was a compromise that would result in CN proper having nothing to do with the rerun yet it can still run on TV to see if it would catch on again.  We all know by now that it didnt go anywhere.
