customer service skills come in handy

in june i ordered att internet. during the call, the girl said i qualified for $50 visa prepaid card. i was like cool... wasnt asking for it but fine. long story short, they had no record of this offer. was gonna let it go but that was before my job ended. dont know where my next check coming from so i called them abt it today.

girl goes:we have no offer here

i go: it really doesnt matter if you see it there or not. the fact is i was promised it. you cant offer it then not give it to me!

 

she puts me on hold for two minutes then credits $50 off my $49 bill. didnt even have to ask for a manager!

 

i wasnt rude, either. i just used logic and kept my calm.
