I just pour part of one of my beers on the ground as an offering to the bugs, then I command them to do my bidding. I'm not sure if it actually works but if it does I have enough grasshoppers and crickets on my side to become Pestilence and have an amazing fish trip while it's happening

I'm pretty sure it's illegal here as well but if you've got a decent fence and/or good neighbors, the cops rarely get involved. Or if you live out in the country where nobody's going to bother you then that's even better.
