what the hell is a "Tact"

there've been several anime weapons with the word "Tact" in their name, (the Clima-Tact in one piece, the Flower-Tact's in pretty cure just to name a couple), and I can't find any real world weapons called Tacts

 

as far as I know Tact is just a word that means "using sensitivity and understanding while dealing with others or sensitive issues"

Also wordplay.  Clima-tact and Clime-attack, heh.  Tact is short for tactical.  Japanese do weird abbreviations and word ligatures like that all the time.  Like Super Famicom gets shortened to "SuFami".
