mochi Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 there've been several anime weapons with the word "Tact" in their name, (the Clima-Tact in one piece, the Flower-Tact's in pretty cure just to name a couple), and I can't find any real world weapons called Tacts as far as I know Tact is just a word that means "using sensitivity and understanding while dealing with others or sensitive issues" Quote
Megiddo Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Takt is german for stick or pole I believe. Quote
mochi Posted December 27, 2016 Author Posted December 27, 2016 Takt is german for stick or pole I believe. OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.............the dubbers always spell it Tact......chalk it up to bad translation edit: yep, it's German for Baton, specifically a conductor's Baton Quote
ben0119 Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Also wordplay. Clima-tact and Clime-attack, heh. Tact is short for tactical. Japanese do weird abbreviations and word ligatures like that all the time. Like Super Famicom gets shortened to "SuFami". Quote
