mochi Posted June 4, 2017 Share Posted June 4, 2017 just in the anime at first but now it's spread to the games of including non-native regional food items in the game's settings and acting like they represent the country that Region is based on like French Macarons in the Black and White anime (Unova was based on New york) glazed Donuts in the X&Y anime which was set in france, and behaved as if Donuts were an Arabian dessert (turns out they were created in America) and Malasada in Alola/Hawaii (Malasada are Brazilian, and are very similar to jelly filled donuts) it's excusable because multiculturalism but I still find it vuagely odd Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
