  1. Pretty sure those novels are considered canon, not "fanfiction." Live action movie could be promising. They better get Ai Shinozaki to play Orihime. Though two of the light novels are covering shit I don't care about -
  2. Explain Naruto, then. Or Hiatus. I never felt "dicked around," either. Again, don't act like this is some big consensus thing. That's your bubble that you don't apparently venture out of. It's not everybody.
  3. I already posted proof. http://unevenedge.imfapp.in/anime/itn-kubo-thanks-his-readers-discusses-his-illness/ http://tenshiscave.tumblr.com/post/153300055417/kubo-tite-bleach-twitter Not my problem if you are too blind or illiterate to click and read it. Kubo said this stuff himself. He read and kept every fan letter, too. Do you know many authors that would do that? Again, he was ailing to the point where he couldn't finish the manga as he intended. He didn't want to end it like this. Kubo was forced to because he was getting so sick to the point he couldn't even work. He's been sick since around the tenth anniversary. If Kubo had more time and wasn't in such bad shape, things wouldn't been so rushed and so many plotlines dropped and character statuses left up in the air at the end. I take heart, though, as there are some light novels coming out, and a data book that will have extra pages for the last chapter. Kubo can probably put some more information and short stories in there, too, like he did with others in the past. Really wish some of that aftermath stuff with Aizen had gotten into the actual manga, too... It's the same shit I've already heard 80 billion times, just in a different format. That's like saying I "need" to watch RedLetterMedia's reviews of the Star Wars prequels. Fuck that. I've had people react like when I tell a Bible thumper I don't go to Church when I tell them I liked the prequels. Fuck 'em.
  4. Sorry but there are no "bad critics", only critics you don't agree with, whose taste you don't share. Well, some are straight up bad, but that's not the same as just disagreeing with a critic who actually is good at his or her job. I think you know what I mean, here. Only a Sith thinks in absolutes. Perhaps it is only a caricature that I concocted in my mind, but you are not doing much to dispel it, with the lies, misinformation, slander, discontent, and enmity you are spreading.
  5. Oh, and I amended the OP. Only stuff I have under spoilers in my last post are things that could be "too extreme" for some users. 8)
  6. It already started?! Damn, I'm way out of the loop! But, I have been dealing with some things as of late.
  7. Really wish Drifters could have been on Toonami instead. Oh well, at least I have the Funimation subscription so I can watch it, anyway! But it just won't be the same...
  8. He said that to you. You're an exception. Either way, he sure as fuck doesn't communicate that with how he talks in most of his posts. Not really sure how it's supposed to just be "understood" or "implied", given how he acts, either.
  9. Yeah, Top_Gun is good at making people feel bad. He likes to sneer and scoff from his ivory tower. He's a card carrying member of the Otaku Ultra Elite, a gatekeeper that stops plebeians from entering his fandom and makes sure they know they are liking and disliking the wrong anime, and that they should feel bad for it. The guy described in this video is a good example of one of Top_Gun's ilk - Never been on the right foot with him. Don't like his attitude, how he carries himself, how he interacts with others, his disposition, don't care for him in general. I try to get along with him, but then he has to go and be a smug snob. Anyway, IGPX isn't bad, per se... it's just got problems, obviously, since it was made by people who never wrote or made anything before... not full-on stories, anyway. It's a slice of life sports mecha anime. Yeah, not what people were expecting, and certainly doesn't live up to being THE FIRST TOONAMI ORIGINAL. I actually have issues paying attention to it, and that almost never happens with me. But, I can't say I hate it. It's an okay show, and I can see why people like it. The soundtrack, character designs, animation, art, action sequences... done pretty well. Where it's weak is the characters and writing. But, it's not too bad there. It's alright.
  10. Lively, and it's obvious they're going to add a slot or two for more finite series. They aren't going to pass up on shows, especially big ones, just because there "isn't any room." The long-runners they have now have loyal audiences, so no sense in removing them, and the block is growing, justifying its expansion by legitimately needing more room for more shows, and the shows they already have are doing well. Like Demarco said, "Toonami can expand as needed." So, I wouldn't get too worried, even with all the long-runners we have right now.
  11. I can, but you apparently can't conceive of the possibility of someone thinking something is good by critical standards, even if it might have some flaws - yes, even something that you, O Arbiter of Anime, Top_Gun, think is bad. Objectivity does not exist. Quality is a matter of opinion. There is no "authoritative correct view" on anything, when it comes to quality of entertainment and art. And I already gave the difference between my enjoyment and critical analysis of Bleach.
  12. But yeah, if "Chappy" wants to have a debate, he should do that, instead of pulling infantile stunts like this.
  13. Good if you think Tim & Eric is funny.
  14. At how bad and petty the thread was? Yeah, so did I.
  15. Makes about as much sense as anything else.
  16. Well we do have some "real" pizza places but they're few and far between and not usually easy to get to, and usually expensive. And one of them has gone out of business in the past few years. But yeah, Pizza Hut can continue to burn in hell for all I care. Especially since Little Caesar's has a Deep Deep Dish Pepperoni-Wrapped Stuffed Crust Pizza now! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK YOU PIZZA HUT!
  17. Butthurt over my thread criticizing your religion so you go with this sophomoric attempt to get a rise out of me by making a bad parody thread attacking one of my favorite series?
  18. I mostly didn't even look at the TV. But I mean, I already knew about the character designs, thanks to SOME PEOPLE.
  19. Kinda have to blame Gundam itself for that. The franchise is full of political machinations, which inevitably leads to arguments about real world politics in the threads. But, I wish people would get over the election results and move on, or at least keep the political stuff to the "Babbling" folder. I enjoyed it too. Of course, I liked the slice of life stuff IN SPAAAAACE. Got to have good down periods and story and reasons to fight to have good action! The action was good, and the eating and talking episodes were relaxing and calming... which is something I could use more of these days. You are right that even without action there was drama and suspense involved. Not sure what I would give it. Don't like to rank things. 7 or 8 out of 10, I suppose?
  20. I think it's pretty funny that I usually hate Gundam and I actually liked this one and most everyone else hated it besides me and Jman. ;D I love the way Mikazuki brutally, mercilessly slaughters his enemies. He's no whiny crybaby bitch like Amuro! ;D ROFL... I googled it and my brain meant to write the actual title but my hands wrote Mobile Shit Gundam of their own volition! LOOOOOOOL! I also love Mikazuki's violent, no-fucks-given brawling style. And he broke anime rules by saying fuck this duel and just attacked! That was great! ;D But yeah, add this along with G Gundam as the only two Gundam series I like. Hmm, do I have issues for enjoying the way Mikazuki kills his opponents?
  21. People really should be more respectful and grateful to Bleach. Bunch of ignorant, entitled, whiny INGRATES! It's anime armageddon without Bleach! You hear me?! ARMAGEDDON!
  22. They won't fill the slots of a possible mondo expansion with the old ASA dead horses again lest they want to immediately lose it. Space Dandy, maybe, but that's about it. Stuff like Bleach, Kenshin, and Yu Yu Hakusho would be great slot fillers.
  23. Even if we don't agree on the level of Bleach's problems, you have to admit Naruto got way shittier than Bleach ever did. And the direction its story took... ugh. And yes, people kept lapping it up all the way to the end. But again, Bleach was still selling enough to keep getting published. It was Kubo's health that was at issue. So, if Kubo was in good health, he wouldn't have had to end things prematurely.
