One thing I like about this episode how they explain that you can transfer your aura (basically your power level) to any item or weapon you hold. Much like what future trunks did to Frieza in DBZ with his sword,but they never bothered explaining that part cause I always wonder how a ordinary sword could cut through Frieza.

This filler looks like a missing episode of the old naruto and then they just crammed it in out of nowhere in shippuden :::
