Packie: That's the plan. Hopefully someone might bring a big present for us to this shindig as well. Maybe a big bag of diamonds will help us get over the pain of losing her.

Niko & Packie pick off an obscene amount of Bulgarin henchmen, with the hopes of grabbing the diamonds lost in the line of fire.

Luis & Gay Tony got away from Bulgarin’s guys barely at the nick of time.

Normal girls in this situation would be relieved, or even traumatized. Gracie just wanted her kidnappers dead. A true Ancelotti.

The bittersweet end of the Diamond arc.

A couple million worth of crystals, having slain and destroyed a torrent of lives with its possession... was making its way to the trash.

Niko: Me and some biker had to try to sell them to a diamond dealer and it turns into a blood bath. That was when those friends of Gracie's must have gotten them.

Packie: Stole 'em from you, did they?

Niko: No, they stole them from the guys I sold them to. Shit, these diamonds have been trouble since Ray first made me take them out of a trash can for him. It’s good they are on their way to a landfill somewhere. Best place for them.

Niko: Our paths crossed back when I was living in Hove Beach as well. My cousin and I moved up to Bohan to get away from him and another man called Dimitri Rascalov.

Packie: That's a real shame, I can see you fitting right in down in Hove Beach, Niko. Probably a good thing you got out though. Wouldn't a met me if you'd stayed, would ya?

Niko: When you put it like this, I'm one lucky motherfucker, Packie.

Niko: The only thing that makes me smile about this shit is that Bulgarin does not have the ice. Piece of shit does not even stay at a fight to see the outcome. Just leaves his boys to clear up.

Packie: We was outnumbered, Niko. I can see how he thought it was covered.

Niko: Hopefully one day I will be able to teach him his lesson by putting a bullet though the back of his head.

Packie: You're not meant to say what you wish for out loud. It won't come true if you do. That rule even works for wishes as cheerful as yours.

Packie: Well, Niko. That was a whole load of effort for no fucking reward.

Dimitri: I cannot believe that you would steal from my friend Ray Bulgarin twice. First in Europe. And then these diamonds in Liberty City. You are in debt to him, Niko. Why don't you just pay him what you owe and we can all get along?

Niko: I have no debts to Bulgarin, Dimitri. And the only thing I owe you is a bullet through the temple. You will be paid in full, fear not.

Dimitri: You have a sharp tongue, Niko. It is only a matter of time before it is cut out of your mouth. Goodbye.

Niko: You ever wonder if things are just coincidence, or if everything is all planned?

Roman: You mean like when you sleep with two girls on one night and they turn out to be mother and daughter?

Niko: I mean like this Dominican looking guy shot up a deal I was trying to make. Then, I've kidnapped this girl and we're handing her over for these same diamonds and this Dominican looking guy is there again.

Roman: So, he steals the diamonds at the deal and then has to give them back for the girl. What's the big deal? It's not as much of a coincidence as the mother and daughter.

Niko: Thanks, for putting things in perspective, Roman.

Tony Prince gets the call that the city’s closing down Maisonette 9 and Hercules for neglecting to pay the Citadel.

Luis gets a bit of breathing room while Rocco’s in his ear about what needs to be done with Tony soon.

Kate: They hated him, they'd fight with him and scream at him and run away for days at a time before he'd drag them home. None of the boys liked my dad, and he didn't appear to like them much either.

Packie: Gerry was on top just smashing Frankie's head into the floor. Then he looks up and he sees Katie huddled up in the corner crying and shaking. They both just stopped when they saw her. Kate stopped being a kid after that. You know what I mean?

Niko: I think I do.

Packie: You ever been to Ireland, Niko?

Niko: I have to say, I’ve missed it on my travels. Maybe one day.

Packie: Only in me dreams, Niko. Only in me dreams. I ain't never left Liberty City.

Kate: Niko, I've been invited to your cousin's wedding.

Niko: I didn't think you guys knew each other.

Kate: Nor did I. He called me up and said that you really liked me and wanted me to be there. Is that true Niko?

U.L. Paper: I want to introduce you to Jon Gravelli, head of the Gambetti family. He needs help.

Niko: I'm already working for a Mafia family. They are scum.

U.L. Paper: The Pegorinos? They're not a family. Gravelli is the only man who can get what you need done. He's in Schottler Medical center.

For the first time in all of his criminal career, Niko Bellic met a mob boss he genuinely  respects.

Jon Gravelli, Don Salvatore’s successor. In his last moments, Jon’s the final window to Liberty City’s chromatic past.

Most that claimed to own Liberty City were sheer pretenders. Gravelli never had to pretend. Liberty City was his.

Gravelli: A good friend of mine is coming into town to give a speech on the new threat to Liberty City - Russian organized crime. I got a feeling some people ain't gonna want that speech to happen.

On Don Gravelli’s behalf, Niko’s acting as chauffeur and bodyguard for Bobby Jefferson.

Ten years prior, the mayor smeared La Cosa Nostra for all the bad being done in Liberty City.

With this meeting at City Hall, Rascalov and the Russian Mob’s going to know how that felt.

Jefferson: American gangsters like Jon Gravelli understand the way life works, they get the limits of their power. In Europe, the politicians are as crooked as the gangsters. They don't understand that things are different here.

Niko: Yeah, sure. You are as clean as the driven snow. I'll explain that important cultural difference to one of these Russian gangsters if our paths cross.

Jefferson: I don't know who you are, but you got me here. Goes to show, some immigrants have the best interest of the country in their hearts. I'll tell Jon you did well.

Niko: This man is nearly dead, cousin. He knows the government agent that Michelle forced me to work for. They say they will give me Darko. You don't know how long I have waited for this, Roman. It is nearly over.
