I lost my Doom 2 save files to the cloud :(

I am literally back to square 1. I was in the third chapter and after slogging through later stages I got to a level with automated walls. There was a room with a bunch of skewered soldiers and a chainsaw. I was almost to the dlc levels and I lost my save files. Did Bethesda just migrate to another launching platform, last time I heard you could play these infinitely on steam. I am a very displeased, greasy marine
