Codename: Jackass
Check it out. It's different. It's not "essential" QOTSA but there are several standout tracks on there. It's missing something, though. I'm not sure what it is. I'm listening to it again and enjoying it but I'm having trouble with a few songs. Guest Zintar
Im gonna get a copy tomorrow.. Vinyl or CD, local shop. Whatever they have in stock. Don't have high expectations, so I'll probably enjoy much of it.
Codename: Jackass
I also had similar feelings with Like Clockwork so I probably just need to listen to it ten more times.

I find a lot of their albums spotty. Some amazing songs. Some decent songs. Some crap. Eh, my tastes.
Codename: Jackass
I find a lot of their albums spotty. Some amazing songs. Some decent songs. Some crap. Eh, my tastes. Lullabies and Era Vulgaris are pretty spotty but with their other albums I find something to like in almost all the tracks. Songs for the Deaf gets kind of monotonous between Go With the Flow and the title track. I listened to Like Clockwork two or three times anddidn't listen to it again for months because I was so disappointed. Then I came back and wondered what I had missed before, because it's my favorite album of theirs aside from Rated R. Maybe that will happen again, but I just wish there were more cuts on this new album that sound like Feet Don't Fail Me and The Evil Has Landed. Right now this is firmly in the "good not great" tier but it might change.
