TL;DR Buddy's 14th thread about his phone hatred.

 

First of all, I don't like being used as white noise......My lady friend calls me just to sit on the phone and sleep.  If that's not annoying enough. I'll wake her up to tell her bye because I feel like it's a dick move to just hang up (even though I could just lie and say that i said "Love you, gnite" and she'd be none the wiser), and then she fabricate some weak ass jumping off point just so I'll respond and stay on the phone and she goes right back to sleep.  Just go to bed and let me go find some insomniac shit to do.

 

My mother is also hard to get off the phone with, but she's the opposite.....Like she just never runs out of things to say.  For a woman who rarely goes anywhere she has the most stories.  I usually just put her on speaker and walk off because she doesn't even pause to breathe, much less leave a gap for the other person to respond.  If you happen to find that narrow window to say "Oh look, I gotta go" she'll completely ignore you....Just keeps talking or says "wait a minute"........I can be at work, driving, being beaten my midgets and she just insists on telling me about some random person who I don't even know.

 

I fucking hate phones.

but it is VERY annoying when you can't get off the phone with people... especially when it's your mother. it's not like you want to hurt her feelings, but it's like.... okay.. yup mhmm....

you begin to wonder, "are they talking TO me? or AT me?"

and sadly, it's usually the latter 

you should try hanging up once or twice, see if they notice!

i walked in and was looking around...and then this employee walks up to me asking if I needed help...so I tell him "uh yes actually, I'm looking for an LED conversion kit for my headlights, a wiring harness, and I also need red decorative molding gap trim for the inside of my car. But while I'm here do you know how much It would be to buy after market fog lights for a 2016 Kia Soul?"...and he just stares at me a second...and says "we don't have LED conversion kits, try a store called (insert some bullshit), And I'm not sure about the other two I've never heard of those...and we don't sell fog lights"...so I'm like ok...if they don't have the LED kit I don't need the harness...so I go on to explain to him what the gap molding is and he tells me "try an upholstery store"....why the fuck would an upholstery store have fucking CAR TRIM?!...I'm not fucking stupid and I know exactly what I'm talking about and this asshole instantly makes me feel stupid

the reason he made you feel stupid is because you made HIM feel stupid! you are obviously better at his job than he is,

I say take it as a compliment!

it doesn't make it any less sucky

but it will be alright!

I am sitting here watching Bob's Burgers as I eat some sesame chicken. I was feeling really lazy today, so I picked up one of those frozen Chinese food bake kits that you can find at your local grocery store.

How you feel about a fat dude who's about a decade older than you, unemployed, doesn't own a car, smells vaguely like garlic, and has a sweet used PS3 he just got off the internet for less than retail?  I know I live with my father, but we both pay equal rent on this apartment so I can totally get him to head out for a few hours.
