Takeaways so far - I like it, but if I hadn't just watched the hobbit trilogy for the first time + rewatched LOTR and spent time looking up a lot of this lore and crap and reading about who and what I watched before coming into this show, I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much. Idk anything about these specific characters/events that Amazon purchased from the Tolkien library, and I'm not looking anything up for this show, all burnt out on that. So I'm not sure if they're Disney Star Wars-ing it and making up new characters yet for the streaming content universe. Quote
