Well, on the bright side, the two fans that were heckling Brunson, got lifetime bans from sitting in court side seats. Those two were probably wealthy af. They don’t get real consequences, like us mere mortals. They get performative punishments. 🫠 2 Quote
1pooh4u Posted Friday at 07:34 PM Author Posted Friday at 07:34 PM It’s some sad shit. I saw an article the other day about how live sports events were becoming a luxury. Idn read the article however because the headline was depressing 2 Quote
scoobdog Posted Friday at 07:40 PM Posted Friday at 07:40 PM There are lot of these lifetime bans getting thrown around. Hecklers certainly should be banned from courtside or even lower level seats for life. At the same time, I think those kids that ran out to selfie banned from every NBA game everywhere for life is somewhat excessive. It wasn't harmless and the punishment should still be sever, but a punishment like that should be reserved for crooked bettors, organized criminals, and assholes that threaten the players. You gotta differentiate between stupidity and malice. 1 1 Quote

Wenbayama is too young right now, that’s why that happened. He might be a 7ft5 phenom (they have him officially at 7’4” but they claim he got taller) but he’s still 21, or 22 without much experience. In any case the Knicks got soooo lucky. The refs really were doing an awful job at times. They called NY for everything and missed everything SAS did. 2 Quote

It felt like the refs were giving the Spurs a lot of leeway to match NY's physical play, which is odd given that just one series prior the refs were punishing the Spurs for being more physical than the Thunder. 1 Quote

Knicks defense is just elite. They have held so many teams to 100pts or less. Both teams deserve to be where they’re at. It’s just the Knicks look like they won’t be denied this time. Everything started lining up last year for them. It started when Haliburton tore his Achilles at the finals. 2 Quote
