'Cause what I'm hearing is your description of satirical humor, a satire, otherwise known as comic tragedy. And if you can't deny there's romance in it then we, my friend, have seen (as you put it) a rom com. Albeit a demoralizing one full of self-deprecation. Hey, what better comic tragedy than comic tragedy that resonates within you? I can go into why the romance seems secondary in it as well but I don't want to spoil it for anybody who hasn't seen it yet. Season two is much better and pretty close to the manga. Season one is pretty much all filler except for the first couple episodes. You could skip almost all of season one and not miss anything important to the story. Edit: Just thought of another one. Did you see Dagashi Kashi? Kyoukai no Rinne is good as well.
