How the hell would they know Newtypes could come into existence?  Such a stupid retcon.  Obviously artificially written in after the fact.  This is besides the fact that people getting psychic powarz because they live in space is inherently dumb.

Make a fresh start?  Oh fuck you.  So they're just going to get away with everything then.

What?  Angelo is still alive?

what was the point of this show?

To be.... A GUNDAM!

Hah I have no idea. I didn't watch more than the first few episodes. I just tuned in to see if anything interesting happened in the finale and.... it was just a bunch of stuff.

For those of you who watched this all the way through... did this ending make sense at all?

I watched the whole thing...

How is that even an ending?  It's like the writers said fuck it and got up from their desk in the middle of the episode. :D

May this subpar ending lend credence to the point I've been trying to make all along, and that is that Gundum SUCKS!

I disagree because this is the only anime I've ever seen where the Gay character was FUCKING STILL ALIVE AT THE END!!!!!!!!!!!!

The idea of Newtypes was known right from the beginning.

Doesn't seem like it from what Bright said. She's probably got some considerable jail time ahead of her.

Please...you can't hold that one thing up as reason that Gundum deserves to live.  I know it matters but...what's the score for gay characters been in Gundum so far (an honest question)?

Because it's not an "ending" (especially since they went for the "new beginning" style lol), it's just the end of this particular installment.

I mean it's UC, it's kind of ongoing.

Yeah, they retouched a lot of scenes for the TV version, so for all intents and purposes, the TV version should be superior, but somehow it is rarely considered as such.

Maybe that's because the TV edits are somewhat awkward?

Maybe the natural flow isn't here like it was in the OVAs but it wasn't that bad at all

colony laser fired as the villains tried a last ditch effort to keep the truth buried.

the culmination of Banagher and Riddhe's Newtype evolution comes in the form of a psycho field that does what no other force in Gundam had ever been able to do: stop a colony laser beam

as a result, all the remaining good guys survive and Mineva is able to broadcast the crucial truth about Laplace's Box to the entire Earth Sphere

The selfish Vists have their pan fail and are taken into custody by Bright Noa, the Earth Federation's last righteous man of high rank

Banagher reaches his full potential as a Newtype and speaks to Marida Cruz who, from the other side, relays what humans will eventually be able to do with a beautiful speech

despite becoming a perfected natural Newtype, Banagher hears Riddhe's pleas and, after disabling the approaching enemy fleet, decides to return to Mineva's side and live happily ever after

how n earth is that an unsatisfying ending?

It's had so many shows.... so I keep trying to see exactly what it is that people like about it.

But it's like people that watch golf... I just don't get what the appeal is.

Is it just that people like mechas and they'll tolerate any nonsensical plot as long as it delivers mecha fights?
